An invoice produced by Peel, Williams and Peel, Engineers, Millwrights, Iron and Brass Founders, Soho Iron Works and Forge, Manchester, for the supply of a 10 horse portable engine without boiler as per contract to Messrs Coates and Wright. Along with the cost of the engine itself there is also included the costs of additional components and the time and expenses of Mr Robert McMurdo, the company’s engineer, to travel to Ingleton to examine the situation for the steam engine.
