Contract between Messrs. Lucas & Aird and The London and Saint Katharine Docks Company for the Construction of an Extension of the Victoria Dock and the Execution of Works Connected Therewith

A contract between the London and Saint Katharine Docks Company and Messrs Lucas & Aird for the construction of an extension of the Victoria Dock and the execution of works connected therewith, dated 9th November 1875. Also included is a specification detailing the permeant works that were required to be undertaken. These included the diversion of the railway from Customs House to Silvertown, the constructions of new locks at Galleons Reach and the excavation of the new docks. Also included is a schedule of prices for the work. The extension would become the Royal Albert Dock.
