A contract between the London and India Docks Company and the Thames Iron Works Shipbuilding and Engineering Company Limited for the construction of a floating crane, dated 29th July 1902. Attached to it is a specification entitled 'Specification of Hull, Roller & Machinery for a 50 ton Steel Twin Screw Floating Crane for the service of the London and India Docks Company'. There is also a handwritten note on the front stating that this referrers to the floating crane number 118419 Hercules.
