Chair personal weighing machine, consisting of wooden trolley with 2 spoked wheels at front and 2 handles at rear, boxed-in scale at rear and weighing seat (chair back missing) at front, 'The Weighwell" model by Berry and Warmington Limited, Liverpool, England, 1921-1950, weighs in stones and pounds to 23 stone (approx 150 kg)

Monitoring a patient’s weight can indicate their health. Accurate weight information also ensures the appropriate dose is given of any medication. This wooden weighing machine was known as ‘The Weighwell’. It weighed hospital patients easily. It could weigh up to 23 stone, approximately 150kg. The machine was made by Berry and Warmington Ltd.
