Jacob Bernard Haas made and signed philosophical instruments in London from about 1783-1800. He was Bavarian. This is a weighing machine made by Haas in 1800. It is made of wood and brass. Inside are a hanger and 13 weights. Monitoring a patient’s weight can indicate their health. Accurate weight information also ensures the appropriate dose is given of any medication.
