Medal of Society of Arts for Scotland, awarded 1836 to R. Adie, for his anemometer, c. 1830. Silver; 49mm diameter, 3mm deep. Obverse: relief head profile to right of Grecian? woman in warrior helmet. Reverse, edge legend Society of Arts for Scotland, exergue laurel wreath and legend To Mr. R. Adie, Optician, Liverpool, for his new Anemometer. Awarded 1836.
