Viviscope (incomplete).

The viviscope was an optical toy based on the same principles as the zoetrope. It contained a sequence of phases of movement which was placed on the outside of a drum which also contained a representation of a proscenium arch as would be found in a theatre. Two vertical rollers inside the drum, force each image outwards one by one, into the proscenium arch as the drum rotates (by use of the handle on the stand), so presenting a continuous moving image.
