The contents of the ampoules are to be mixed with water for injection to create 10 mg powder in 1 ml liquid. Diamorphine hydrochloride is administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly to relieve severe pain in the terminal stages of cancer and other fatal illnesses. The box is still sealed.
