Glass specimen bottle, contains seeds of logwood from South America ? logwood has been administered for dysentery and diarrhoea and used as an astringent in haemorrhages from the lungs, uterus, and bowels; also efficient in leucorrhoea. Dr. Percival used logwood to check profuse perspiration in phthisis.
