Inclined plane and horse-way with quadrant and plumb bob, made by George Adams, Fleet Street, London, 1762.
This 'horse way' was made for King George III by George Adams in demonstrations concerning the motion of carts along a cobbled road at different inclines. A quadrant at one end allows the demonstrator to measure the angle of incline. The model was intended to be used with the Philosophical Table.
