One cardboard box with removable lid containing 12, 1 ml. ampoules for making 'Gonan', a chorionic gonadotrophin injection. 65 mm x 75 mm x 75 mm, 52g. 3 pairs of ampoules remaining (one with water solution for each ampoule of the crystallised hormone) and a blade for scoring the ampoules. Chorionic gonadotrophin was used to increase fertility in both male and female patients. Directions for use on interior of lid reads, ' By the aid of a hypodermic syringe withdraw/ 1ml. of the water for injection and transfer/ it to the ampoule containing the powder./...' Manufactured by BDH, London, in March 1961.
