Glass vial with cork stopper containing approximately 20 tabloid hypodermic tablets consisting of 1/2 grain of compressed opium. Opium has an analgesic action and a narcotic action which are due to its morphine content. Opium acts less rapidly than since it is more slowly absorbed.

Inscription reads:'CHOLERA TINCTURE/.../ FRANK BLISS & Co. / DISPENSING AND FAMILY CHEMISTS,/SIMLA'. Distributed by Frank Bliss and Co., Indian, 1851-1910.
