Enamel sign - Platform 1
- Made:
- 1948-1967 in unknown
Enamel sign, British Rail, (North Eastern Region), Platform 1, double-sided, white on orange, ex York Station.
In 1965 British Rail launched new branding that made public station signs and notices clear and easy to read. Before this date, sign style varied across the network and this made navigating stations harder, especially when advertising signs mixed with wayfinding signs, leading to confusion.
