Refreshment trolley, Great Northern Railway, Victorian food trolley from Skegness Station, made of gunmetal with pneumatic tyres.

This trolley was used to sell refreshments to passengers waiting to travel from Skegness station. Station staff affectionately called this large trolley ‘the hearse’ on account of its dark colour and size. Its pneumatic tyres made it easier to push and helped keep the refreshments from being bumped and jolted as it was moved around the station.
