Freestanding Clock, Euston Clock from Great Hall at Euston Station. Black case with gold decoration. Black with a gold trim

This clock stood in the Great Hall of Euston from 1849 until it was demolished in 1963. It is believed to have been first used on the station platforms from 1837. It is not clear who originally made the clock but we know it was altered and recased for Euston's Great Hall by Thwaite and Reed of London in 1849.
