Wash drawing, North Church Tunnel, June 17th 1837, by John Cooke Bourne. Depicts the view looking out from inside the tunnel, towards the mouth, during the construction of the London and Birmingham Railway. Timber scaffolding holds up the arch ofthe tunnel, and baulks of timber lean against the walls of the tunnel. There is a small wagon at the tunnel entrance.
