Watercolour on board, Dutton Viaduct by George Haydock Dodgson (1811-1880), 1838. Depicts the view from the River Weaver looking up towards the arches of the Dutton viaduct, on the Grand Junction Railway between Acton Bridge and Runcorn. In the foreground are cattle in the river, with trees growing on the banks. Behind is the viaduct, with a crossing passenger train hauled by a locomotive with a tall chimney. Signed at bottom right "G Dodgson, 1838". Unframed.
