Painting, oil on canvas, Glorious Devon by Gyrth Russell, about 1951. Depicts a view of Clovelly, looking down a steeply sloping street towards the harbour. In the foreground is a brick archway next to the 'Hope and Anchor' pub. At the foot of the hill is the sea and harbour wall, with a two-masted sailing boat at anchor, with cliffs, fields and moors beyond. Original artwork for British Railways Western Region poster "Glorious Devon, Travel by Train".
