Painting, gouache (?) on board, Wolsey's Gate, Ipswich, Suffolk, by Lance Cattermole, 1956. Depicts an imagined scene in about 1527 showing Cardinal Wolsey viewing a drawing with an architect, in front of Wolsey's Gate, the entrance to a college he had built in Ipswich. A page boy is holding the train of Wolsey's robes, while guards and his entourage stand behind him. Signed by the artist at bottom right. Original artwork for British Railways (Eastern Region) poster.
