Poster, Callander and Oban Railway, Oban, about 1901. Coloured lithograph depicting six views of Oban and local attractions. The illustrations are set in six elliptical vignettes, arranged in two banks of three with accompanying text. The pictures depict Dunolly Castle, with a ship in the foreground; Oban; Loch Tay and Killin; a view of Glen Ogle with a passing train; the Loch Awe Hotel and Fingal's Cave on Staffa in the Inner Hebrides. The accompanying text reads "MacBrayne's Royal Mail and other steamers; Pleasure steamers on Loch Tay & Loch Awe; Loch Awe Hotel; Oban, Callander & Oban Railway, in direct communication with Oban, Staffa & Iona, Loch Awe. Fort William, Fort Augustus, Tobermory, Portree, Stornaway and the Western Islands. For particulars see London & North Western Railway's and Caledonian Railway Co's time tables and tourist's programmes." Text at bottom right reads "R. Millar, Int. General Manager". Text in the bottom left margin identifies the printer as "McCorquodale & Co Ltd". Format double royal.
