Reproduction poster, LMS, 'Carlisle' by Maurice Greiffenhagen, published by Gallery Five, 1975. Depicts a knight in armour riding a white horse. The knight holds a flag bearing the cross of St George, and the horse carries a red caparison, decorated with the coat of arms used by Carlisle between 1885 and 1924. Behind the knight is a gate in the city walls, with a road beyond leading to mountains in the distance visible through the gateway. To the left of the horse is Carlisle's coat of arms. The caption is beneath the illustration, with the letters "LMS" at left and the company crest at right.
