Poster, Cheshire Lines Railway, Southport by Fortunino Matania, about 1929. Coloured lithograph showing a scene at Southport lido, with bathers at the edge of the swimming pool. Most of the bathers are young women. One poses with a parasol, a woman in a red swimsuit bends over to pick up a large red beach ball, while a man helps another with her bathrobe. Another man in a black one piece swimsuit and bathing cap chats to a woman coyly seated on a diving board. Printed by Jarrold & Sons Ltd., Norwich & London. Format: quad royal. Dimensions: 40 x 50 inches, 1016 x 1270mm.
