White and Poppe variable jet carburettor No.30

This is a carburettor of the form patented by P. A. Poppe in 1906. It has an adjustable petrol jet which, in conjunction with the throttle valve, gives a constant mixture under varying load and under varying speeds with a given throttle opening.
