Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud Mark I car chassis, 1955

The Silver Cloud II was introduced in 1959, and further cemented Rolls Royce’s position as a premium car maker and a byword for luxury and comfort. On this model power steering came as standard, while the electrically operated windows was available as an option for the first time. A 6.2 litre V8 engine propelled the 2.11 tonne vehicle to a top speed of 114mph.
