Aero Turn Indicator (Ogilive Pressure Gauge B.W. Co., No. 986)
This indicator was used in conjunction with two pitot tubes mounted as far apart as possible on the aeroplane, usually on the outer wing struts. Connection from the tubes was made to either straight side of the diaphragm. Any deviation in a horizontal plane from straight flight produced a difference in pressure in the tubes, this difference causing deformation of the diaphragm and movement of the pointer in the direction of the turn.
