Mounting for thermometer based on the propeller boss from a Bristol F2B Fighter, made by donor's father. Donor’s father worked at Horwich Loco Works, serving with the 1/5th Battalion, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment as a Sergeant, then re-enlisting as an AM2 in the Royal Flying Corps. Also served as an officer in the Home Guard at Horwich Loco works in WW2. Formerly 8010.1
