Insert for a Machlett 'Dynamax 25' rotating anode x-ray tube unit, with 0.3 and 2mm focal spot sizes. No. BR7073, by Machlett X-Ray Tubes (Great Britain), Wembley, London, England, 1950-1974. The anode has a tantalum backing which acts as a getter and absorbs residual gas when hot.
