Pre-production model Baird "Televisor" (incomplete) c.1929, 30-line mechanical television receiver using a spinning Nipkow disc and a modulated neon lamp.

Baird televisor, 'Noah's Ark' model made in 1929 in the United Kingdom.

A 30-line mechanical television receiver using a spinning Nipkow disc and a modulated neon lamp. The model C and the almost identical model B televisors were described as the 'Noah's Ark' televisors because of their shape and wooden construction. John Logie Baird (1888-1946) built around twenty ‘Noah’s Ark’ televisors in 1928, over ten of them going to the company directors and the rest used for demonstrations.
