Hertzian receiving resonator, probably made by E E Robinson, England, 1890-1894. Used by Oliver Lodge.
When Lodge repeated the experiments of Heinrich Hertz he made a copy of the Hertz spark-gap resonator but adapted it so the spark gap could be adjusted. With it he could detect electric waves at distances of about 60 metres.
