Imperial model 70 typewriter, 1960s

The Imperial model 70 was a manual typewriter made by the Imperial Typewriter Company of Leicester and Hull, England, in the 1960s. It was considered a heavy work horse of a typewriter and was one of the most reliable and popular models for office use in the 1960s and 1970s.

An advertisement for the Imperial 70 described it was "the finest typewriter you ever laid hands on" and noted its smooth operation, dependability, practical modern styling, and quality of work.
