The Imperial Model 50 typewriter was designed by Arthur Bott Pateman for the Imperial Typewriter Company and made in Leicester, England. The Imperial model 50 series was constructed in such a way that the machine could be disassembled into three main parts in just a couple of steps without tools: the roll, the carriage and the keyboard. This was very convenient for maintenance and cleaning or greasing.
