Horse-drawn Sussex farm wagon, 1874, with removable floor boards for 'marling' (spreading marl, a mixture of clay, sand, and lime dug from a pit, onto light soils to improve them). Complete with six extension boards, 2 to each side, one to front, and tail -boards, one detachable short floor section to cover king-pin, one tail ladder, rope-roller, and (unusually) two roller scotches. The drag shoe is missing though hooks are provided for one. With the king-pin removed, the wagon body could be removed from the frame and the latter used as a light timber-wagon. Formerly part of the Stephen Harris collection.
