Turner 'Yeoman of England' Mk3 diesel tractor on pneumatic tyres, by Turner Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Wulfrana Works, Wolverhampton, April 1952. It has chassis number MK3/1515 and is fitted with engine number 4V3/1561. The engine has a nominal rating of 40HP and is a V4 configuration overhead valve diesel produced “in house” by Turner. The tractor is fitted with two items of optional equipment. 1) The PTO & pulley unit and 2) Hydraulics with implement linkage.

This was an attempt by a British manufacturer to produce an all-new diesel tractor in the emerging market for such machines. The tractor had many good points, such as its excellent lugging ability, but was underdeveloped and had some reliability issues. Those issues, together with a rather high purchase price, when compared to more mass-produced competitors, resulted in its early demise.
