G.P.V. (General Purpose Vehicle) rocket no.730

The Short-Elliot General Purpose Vehicle rocket (G.P.V.) was a defence research tool used in the early 1950s to investigate the in-flight behaviour of missiles. G.P.V. was particularly important in developing homing techniques where the vehicle would follow a radar beam onto its target. G. P. V. was boosted by Demon solid propellent motors and cruised with a kerosene high test peroxide sustainer.
