Whole rigged bone model, scale 1:96, of the French 120 gun 1st rate ship "Ocean" (1809), on an inlaid stand with Bauistrade design, unsigned, France, 1793-1815

Contemporary, rigged, whole, prisoner-of-war model, in bone, of a French 120-gun ship. Scale 1:96. The model claims to represent the First Rate, 'Ocean', lanched at Brest, in 1790, but is not an accurate representation of the dockyard model of this vessel, preserved in the Musee de la Marine.
