Model of Scottish Scaffie boat "Intrepid" of Embo (register No. WK.221), 1902. The Scaffie was a development from the broad and short open boats such as the Yoles of Orkney but much bigger. In 1855 Scaffies were in use along the west and south coasts of the Moray Firth as far east as Banff, but after 1879 they gradually gave way to the Zulu type. Scale 1:24
