The collection includes Holtzapffel lathe No.2438, sold originally on 2nd May 1895 for the sum of £171.-18.-6 to William Drummond Esq., of Edinburgh. Drummond also bought lathe No.2306 and the se two machines and their accessories combined form the collection.
