Two medals, inset with two others, in wood block by sculptor Cecil Thomas OBE, 108 Old Brompton Road London SW7 [Master of AWG 1946]. left: bronze medal design honouring William Bowers Dalton 1868-1965 [monogram at end], 94mm diameter. strongly featured young man Head to L profile. right: bronze medal featuring pot and hands, For distinguished service to the fine crafts. 94mm diameter. centre, top: white metal, 29mm diameter, old man Head to R profile; worn, inscribed indistinctly Sydney Cockerell [In75S?] centre, below: white metal, 29mm diameter, 1961 AWG Master [monogram] with cockerell over S. All set in wood block 112x211x18mm; overall height 25mm. Sculptor's name and address on label verso.
