One of a pair of wooden legs, worn by a bilateral above knee amputee aged 16 years. (He suffered traumatic amputations eight years previously as a result of a train accident.) The right leg (shown here) is fitted with one of the original 4-bar linkage knee units, designed for use on an all-wooden leg. Made by Hanger in 1978.
