German two-load left split-hook, made by Otto Bock c.1940

Otto Bock began making prosthetic limbs in 1919, largely in response to the number of injured servicemen following World War I.

This hook attaches to a prosthetic arm and has a spring-loaded hook mechanism for gripping objects.
