Bound copy of 'Sun Pictures in Scotland', 1845. Printed title with motto from Virgil, page with list of plates and twenty three mounted calotypes. The book was issued to subscribers. The twenty-three images were taken by Talbot on a tour of sites and locations most connected with novelist Sir Walter Scott. The calotypes include images of Edinburgh, Scott's house at Abbotsford, Loch Katrine, Melrose, Doune Castle, Dryburgh Abbey (site of Scott's tomb) etc.
