Pelvis in Median Section with Uterus in ninth month of pregnancy, removable foetus, ca. 1990.

The model pelvis of a pregnant women has been cut away to reveal a nine-month-old foetus. The full anatomical structure of the pelvis is revealed and the foetus can also be removed. Made by Adam, Rouilly Ltd, the model was constructed from PVC and then hand finished, including the painting of the anatomical detail. It is part of a series showing the progression of pregnancy. Adam, Rouilly Ltd makes a variety of anatomical models as teaching aids for medical and nursing students.
