Radio-opaque 'bloodless' cannula for IV therapy with one way syringe. Virtually displaced the Butterfly needle for anaesthesia. Gilston added the blue clamp, advantage - not a needle in situ so lasts a long time; can be used for arterial cannulation; blood sampling easy from the plastic cannula. Made 1960-79.
