Waynes Semi-rotary engine indicator with all accessories, in teak box
In this modification of the steam-engine indicator, patented by Mr. M. J. Wayne in 1893, a semi-rotary piston is employed to actuate the pencil arm without the intervention of any linkwork, which could introduce potential inaccurcy into the instrument's operation.
