Direct acting vertical feed pump by Mumford, Colchester, with sliding crank pin and flywheel. 2 x 12" x 1.9" stroke
AG Mumford were based at the Culver Street Ironworks in Colchester, and built machinhery for waterworks, and small marine engines, often built for the Royal Navy. This is a direct-acting suction and force pump for feeding water into boilers to raise steam.
