Sectioned model of stationary pattern Exhaust Steam Injector, on base

This is a sectioned example of an injector patented in 1908 by J.J.C. and R.D. Metcalfe. Owing to the use of two exhaust steam nozzles in series it can deliver water into a steam boiler under pressure at 120 lb. per sq. in., instead of only about 75 lb. per sq. in. as in the single jet type.
