Likely to be a doll manufactured for the Japanese market in the late 1980s, this is a Maba or Ma-Ba Barbie doll, or a Takara Jenny doll. The doll has white skin and blonde hair, with large, round brown eyes and light blue eyeshadow. She is wearing a plain blue pleated skirt, a yellow cardigan with off-white trim, and a navy blue bow tie and socks.

Both MaBa Barbie dolls (a name derived from the first two letters of the "Mattel" and "Bandai" companies) and Takara Jenny dolls were manufactured in association or partnership with Mattel's Barbie range for a Japanese market.
