Six watercolour drawings by Laurence Scarfe ARCA FSIA (1914-1993) depicting several aspects of the interior of the buildings at AERE Harwell in 1950-1951, signed and dated August 1950, which he later used as reference for his mural 'Atomic Energy' in the Dome of the Festival of Britain 1951. Works rubber stamped verso: Laurence Scarfe ARCA FSIA 30 Paultons Square Chelsea SW3. Scenes depict sytem of Harwell plant colour codings.
