Images taken by I. H. Ford in a reflecting microscope using his aspheric objective mirror, showing nuclear disintegrations captured in photographic emulsions deposited on polished thin sections on mineral samples. (The microscope allowed the samples to be rotated through large angles relative to the direction of the light beam, to allow the particle tracks to be focussed.) Estimated dates 1960-1984.
