Model of altitude circle (Unnatansha Yantra), scale 1:24, in the Jaipur Observatory

The graduated brass circle has a diameter of 17.5 feet with a sighting arm pivoted at the centre. The whole instrument can be turned about a vertical axis and is used to measure the altitude of a star.
